This course is designed to explain the concept and operational procedures for en-route Transportation Triage during emergencies. A scenario with timelines will be presented as well as a virtual demonstration of the process.

Pamela Metoyer, RN, MEd, is retired from the position of Statewide Nurse Consultant for Emergency Preparedness and Response. She now serves in the capacity of W.A.E. (Work As Employed), a temporary, as needed position for the Center for Community Preparedness. She has worked in the DHH EOC as Operations Chief and has executed Transportation Triage Operations since Hurricane Gustav (2008).
