Course Description:

This course is intended to give the participant an overview of the characteristics and skill sets for both managers and leaders. It is intended to help the participants reflect on their own career and how they view themselves and to reflect on where they are in their professional development. This course is intended to broaden the view of what both managers and leaders do and how they think.

Academic Faculty/Staff, Federal Government Employees, State Government Employees, Local Government Employees, Non-Government Employees and Students

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the characteristics and skill sets of both managers and leaders
  • Have the participant reflect on their development and have a clearer idea of their strengths as well as areas for further development
  • Challenge the participants to be better manager and leaders
  • Encourage the participants to expand their perspective on what it means to be a leader
