Conflict Management
Course Description:
The purpose of the course is to provide practical, hands on, experience in conflict management. The course will focus on how conflict management can be used in a variety of work settings. The course features an interactive discussion led by an expert in conflict management.

Instructors:
Lisa Goldstein Graham, M.S.
Lisa is a consultant with Blankenship & Seay, a group of organizational psychologists. She completed her undergraduate work at Emory University and received her Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. through the program in Leadership and Change at Antioch University. Before entering the field of organizational consulting, Lisa managed undergraduate admissions and academic advising for Emory University's Goizueta Business School. Her areas of interest include organizational development, executive coaching, and conflict management, teambuilding, meeting facilitation, and career assessment and planning. She has served as an adjunct professor of psychology at Samford University and has also volunteered her time to speak on topics related to I/O psychology for organizations such as the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Samford University, the Society for Human Resource Management, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama.
Josh Klapow, PhD.
Joshua C. Klapow is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Care Organization and Policy (School of Public Health, UAB). He is an investigator for the South Central Center for Public Health Preparedness (SCCPHP). Dr. Klapow is a licensed clinical psychologist whose work focuses on the role of behavioral science in health promotion and public health preparedness. Dr. Klapow writes and moderates “The Preparedness Minute” video series and moderates the SCCPHP Preparedness Satellite Broadcasts. Dr. Klapow has published several papers examining the methodology of functional, statistical, and economic evaluations of health status and the role of psychosocial and behavioral factors in determining health outcomes. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a specialization in Behavioral Medicine from the University of California, San Diego in 1995. He also completed a fellowship in Geropsychiatry at the University of California, San Diego in 1996.
